If you look at Houston's radar you can see thay as the eye is approaching Galveston, the outer bands are reaching downtown Houston. It's gotten pretty windy, but still no rain. Miss G had hoped that things would just be wet and raining for at least the 1st 3rd of the storm, but no such luck.... the power just went out, before the rain has even started. Now the worst begins. Boredom and isolation notwithstanding, it's the air conditioning we'll miss the most! As long as the cellular towers are intact and Miss G's laptop can maintain a broadband connection, she'll be able to keep you posted. She's going to try to conserve battery, so responses may be sporadic! Wish her luck!

good luck to you miss ginger. stay safe. i'm watching the developments on cnn and the weather channel. and yes, i know you'll miss the a/c the most. i know what houston is like in the summer!
