It's 5am, AOL Journals has healed itself, and so have Miss Ginger's nerves. Don't get her wrong- the weather is still horrible, and we still haven't cleared the eye wall. But, from looking at the radar, it looks like we're about 50 miles to the good side, which isn't saying much when you're talking about a 900 mile wide hurricane. Poor Beaumont and Lake Charles are going to get anhilated again!
Anyho, the house seems to be holding up well and the new windows aren't taking on any water. There may be some water in the attic, but Miss G won't even look until tomorrow because there's nothing she can do about it until then anyway. Since her panic attack is over, she's going to curl up with the kitties and see if she can sleep a little bit. It won't be good sleep without her CPAP machine (it's electric!) but it will be better than nothing. Tomorrow as soon as she can get out she'll try to get some pictures.

Glad that the panic attack is over and I hope you got some sleep. Sounds like it was not as bad as you initially feared. :o)
Hope you were able to get some sleep, Miss G. Your description of the sounds of the storm was very frightening. I'm glad you're okay, and I hope Nog is, too!
Hugs, Beth
