Preparations for the ball continue!! The chorus rehearsals are going great, and everyone in them seems to appreciate their simplicity! The opening is especially cute! You won't want to miss it, so if you haven't secured an invite yet you'll wanna start sucking up to your favorite krewe member soon! Bribe them with vodka: they all love that!
A (of A and MA) came over this weekend to help with glittering and paper mache. We got a lot of both done, until we ran out of tape for the paper mache, and then used up all the glitter. At that point there was nothing left to do but drink and eat, so we opened a bottle of wine, sliced a brisket, and called MA and Mom and Dad and invited them over for dinner!
So I'm off to work today. Not much will get done until the weekend, but then I start vacation from my day job on Saturday and can really kick in into high gear! Meanwhile, I think I'll take a long lunch today and head to Southern Importers for another 5 pounds of glitter!

random blogs have been so blah lately -- it seemed evertime i clicked on something, it was all about how the writer had dedicated themselves and their pets to jesus, how they were doing with that close personal relationship with god, or some teenage drivel. thanks for making random blogs for sunday a success :D
