Great Day at the Races!
What a FABULOUS day we had at EJ's yesterday! Miss Ginger and John Paul want to thank everybody who came out and supported the Miss Mint Julep kickoff. Here's the first pic! There's lots more to come but Miss G and the staff are exhausted from the busy weekend!

The Big Day is Here!
It's Kentucky Derby Day , and that means today is the big Kentucky Derby Party hosted by Ginger and John Paul at EJ's! We're so excited! Everything has come together and it looks like the weather is going to cooperate! I'll take warm on sunny over rain any day! The foods ready, the games are all together, and we're going to have a great time! I hope everyone will come out and enjoy the festivities! If you don't like "drag shows" then this is the party for you! This party is more about food, fun, and bonnets! There will be a couple of "numbers" but it's not really a show!
Speaking of bonnets, yesterday Mr. Jackson helped Miss Ginger get the finishing touches on all of hers. Here he is admiring his handywork!
It's pretty collossal, so be sure to come check it out! We're at EJ's from 2-6!

Derby Day Preparations Continue...
Are your hats ready for the Derby Day Bonnet Contest at EJ's? It's all part of the Miss Mint Julep Kentucky Derby celebration! If you don't have time to make a hat before Starurday, that's okay... you can make it there! Our own "Martha Stewart Wannab'es" Aurora Briar and Marica Mink Gill will be on hand with a the crafting supplies you need to put one together at the last minute. Miss Ginger is busy as a beaver (?!) getting herself ready and cooking one of her big ass briskets, which you can get a hunk of for a suggested $5 donation. After sucking down a few of those "bottomless" mint juleps you'll probably be pretty hungry! There's a 50/50 raffle who's winner will be determined by the results of the derby (that's not gambling!) and lot's of other fun stuff. If you're planning to be there, we'll see you then. If you weren't planning to be there: change your plans!!! This is a new community event and we need your support to ensure Legacy can continue to make quality healthcare available for everybody who needs it! Just the other day my server at a local estblishment had a "health crisis" (ask me about that in person!) and needed help, so we were glad Legacy was there to point him in the right direction. And it's thanks to your support of events like this that we can do it!
